Bromberg Named Central Division 1st Star of the Week; Wolter Honorable Mention

It was a memorable weekend for La Crosee Freeze defenseman as two were recognized for their great work in last weekends sweep over the Chicago Jr. Bulldogs.

Jared Bromberg, native of Rochester, MN, had possibly his best weekend of his junior hockey career on his way to 1st Star of the Week in the Central Division.  His strong weekend started out Friday night when he scored two goals and two assists in the 7-1 victory.  He scored one of his two goals in the 1st period on a power play and followed it up by scoring again under four minutes into the 2nd.  Saturday evening he added another four points to his resume, this time scoring once and assisting on three goals in the 3rd period.  He finished with three goals and five assists for a +5 on the weekend.  Bromberg now has eight goals and 20 assists on the season.

Matt Wolter, native of Antigo, WI, received an honorable mention just two weeks after receiving 2nd Star of the Week.  Friday night he assisted on one goal and continued the scoring into Saturday evening, putting up two goals (one short handed) and another assist.  Wolter went on to finish with four points and a +4 on the weekend.  Just a year removed from collegiate football, Wolter now has six goals and nine assists on the season.
