Freeze players come up big at Top Prospects Tournament

There was a lot of action the past two days for the three La Crosse Freeze players at the 2017 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament.  Lukas Motloch, JP Eykyn, and Sam Dabrowski are all leaving after making a great impression on scouts.

A slow day one didn’t make for a slow day two for Motloch and Eykyn; both players scored three points in different ways in Tuesday’s action.  Motloch received a hat trick while Eykyn scored his points by way of assists, two of which came on Motloch goals.  Both players played a large role in Tuesday’s 7-4 win.

Dabrowski, competing in his first season of juniors, played in three games for the U18 Selects Red Team the past two days.  Held scoreless in the first and third games he scored a goal early in the third period of game two.  His goal would tie the game at 4-4 but the red team went on to lose 8-5.

With Top Prospects over the Freeze will begin preparing for the upcoming series with the Chicago Bulldogs.  All three games will take place in La Crosse at the Green Island Ice Arena this Friday-Sunday.
