Toycen Named Central Division Star of the Week

The first weekend series went about as great as head coach Ryan Egan and assistant coach Alex North could've ever hoped for.  After a 5-3 win over the Chicago Jr Bulldogs on Saturday night the Freeze players turned it up a notch at noon on Sunday and defeated the Jr Bulldogs 6-1.

One of the main catalysts to the offensive production for the Freeze (2-0) during the weekend was the NA3HL's Central Divsion Star of the Week Daniel Toycen, forward from Chippewa Falls, WI.  After just one assist on Saturday night, Toycen came out ready to play on Sunday.

After assisting on Ben Henderson's third goal on the weekend in the first period, Toycen added his first goal of the season just 20 seconds into the third period and later assisted on a Taylor Trapp goal.

Toycen ended the weekend with one goal, three assists and a +/- of +3.  He and the Freeze players will look to continue their fast start on Friday night when they play host to the Alexandria Blizzard at the Green Island Ice Arena in La Crosse, WI.
