Thomas Magnavite had a big night with 5 points (2 goals, 3 assists) as the La Crosse Freeze crushed the Wausau RiverWolves 6-3 in a home game at Marathon Park in La Crosse. The La Crosse Freeze took the lead early in the third on a goal from Brandon Ratzloff.

In the first, Rukamp opened the scoring for Wausau with a goal at 15:57 with helpers from his teammates Johnston and Pinkert.
In the second, Alton deposited a goal at 0:25 with a helper from his linemate Burgener. Seeger finally put La Crosse on the board with a goal at 6:54 with assists from his linemates, Garman and Magnavite. Bettis scored a goal at 17:48 with a helper from Magnavite. Magnavite quickly followed with a goal at 18:18 with an assist from Seeger.
In the third period, Ratzloff deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:00 with a helper from fellow Freeze forward Magnavite. Irwin answered for the RiverWolves with a goal at 8:43. Tilmon answered for La Crosse with a goal at 13:54. Magnavite quickly followed with a goal at 15:29.
The Freeze’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Silverstein as he stopped 0 of the 3 shots he faced. On the other hand, Silverstein’s counterpart, Baribeau, and the RiverWolves’ defense had a miserable night allowing 6 goals in 6 shots.
This win brings the La Crosse Freeze’s record to (12-3-0-0).
