Ratzloff's hat trick helped the Freeze crush the North Stars 7-1

Brandon Ratzloff led the way with a hat trick as the La Crosse Freeze crushed the Breezy Point North Stars 7-1 in a home game at Green Island Ice Arena in La Crosse. Besides, the La Crosse Freeze's offense had a big night, peppering Breezy Point with 38 shots throughout the game. The La Crosse Freeze took the lead late in the first on a goal from Matthew Francois and never looked back.

Matthew Francois delivered for his team with 2 goals and Brady Lindauer chipped in with 2 assists.

In the first, Ratzloff opened the scoring for the Freeze with a goal at 8:58 with helpers from his linemates, Lackey and Lindauer. Francois put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 18:22 with assists from teammates Ratzloff and De Schepper.

During the second period, Fondadouze deposited a goal at 2:34 with helpers from Magnavite and Caplis. Ratzloff netted a goal at 14:56 with assists from Magnavite and Losen.

In the third, Francois put in a goal at 4:15 with helpers from his linemates, Garman and Baron. Ratzloff scored a goal at 11:45 with assists from his linemates, Poellinger and Lindauer. Nuutinen netted a goal at 17:58. Flicek quickly followed with a goal at 19:32.

The Freeze’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Naidow’s big night as he stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced. Naidow’s counterpart, Ehrlich, also had a big night, managing to stop 31 of 38, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the La Crosse Freeze’s record to (29-8-1-0).
