The La Crosse Freeze of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that goaltender Cameron Scheuren, 19, has been called up to play in the NAHL for the Janesville Jets. The Jets currently sit in 1st place in the NAHL’s North Division.
Scheuren (5’10/165) is a native of Kohler, Wisconsin, which is about two hours North of Janesville. Scheuren is in his first season of playing junior hockey in the NA3HL. Last season, Scheuren played high school hockey in Wisconsin for the Sheboygan Red Raiders.
This season has been a solid one for Scheuren, who has an 8-5-1 record in 17 games played to date. He has posted a 2.94 goals against average and a 91.8% save percentage. The Freeze currently sit in 2nd place in the Central Division, one point out of 1st place.
“We are excited that Cam is getting this opportunity with Janesville. He works extremely hard both on and off the ice and has definitely been a big reason for our early success as a new organization in the NA3HL,” said Freeze head coach Ryan Egan.
This has been a tremendous past couple of weeks for player movement from the NA3HL to the NAHL. In just the past few weeks, over a dozen players have moved up to play in the league.
