During the third period, Magnavite answered for La Crosse with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 6:03 with helpers from De Schepper and Lindauer. Hanson answered for Wisconsin with a goal at 12:38 with assists from Vandervalk and Mcdermott. Magnavite answered for the Freeze with a goal at 18:50 with helpers from Caplis and De Schepper.
La Crosse’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Graves’ big night as he stopped 28 of the 31 shots he faced. Graves’ counterpart, Earls, also had a big night, managing to stop 36 of 41, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the La Crosse Freeze’s record to (31-8-1-0).
