During the second period, Mros opened the scoring for Wisconsin with a goal at 7:51 with helpers from his linemates, Ether and Gille. Vandervalk quickly followed with a goal at 8:03. Hanno finally put La Crosse on the board with a goal at 16:20 with assists from his teammates Ratzloff and Losen.
During the third period, Hanno netted a goal at 2:40 with helpers from Ratzloff and Losen. Hanno deposited a goal at 12:10. Vandervalk quickly followed with a goal at 14:06 with assists from Hanson and Marshman. Lackey quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 14:32 with a helper from Lindauer. Lackey netted a goal at 19:59 with an assist from fellow Freeze forward Lindauer.
La Crosse’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Graves’ big night as he stopped 35 of the 38 shots he faced. Graves’ counterpart, Hufford, also had a big night, managing to stop 40 of 44, but ultimately fell short.
