Zukowski finally put La Crosse on the board with a goal at 6:10 with assists from his linemates, Beversdof and Beversdorf. Rogers answered for Wisconsin with a goal at 14:13 with helpers from his linemates, Grobstick and Fortin. Mcdermott quickly followed with a goal at 14:54 with assists from his teammates Gille and Rohrer.
During the second, Seeger answered for La Crosse with a goal at 0:21 with helpers from Francois and Bettis. Seeger netted a goal at 19:00 with an assist from defenseman Gargaro. Tilmon quickly followed with a goal at 19:38.
In the third, Duncan put in a goal at 11:00 with a helper from his linemate Tilmon. Seeger deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:09.
The Freeze’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Lukehart’s big night as he stopped 3 of the 6 shots he faced. Lukehart’s counterpart, Hufford, also had a big night, managing to stop 35 of 41, but ultimately fell short.
